Australian and New Zealand Disaster and Emergency Management Conference
With seven years of history, this Conference is critical to education, professional development and strategic direction for the multifaceted emergency services industry. This is no ordinary business Conference. We learn from champions in the industry with evidence based research and practical or pragmatic resource management strategies. We also focus on the connection with mental health and the humanitarian side of disaster management, the people factor - our survivors, victims and ourselves, the responders, the strategists and the managers. We are committed to the continuation and extension of our solid reputation for another highly anticipated and successful year. Join us in 2018!
What's NEW in 2018?
New look: The website was due for a refresh so we've revamped the way we display information. We hope you agree that our registration process is now more streamlined!
New Resources: As a reminder for previous attendees, the Resource Centre catalogues presenters and their topics and is available for you to refresh and reflect on all year round!
New CEO: We welcome Chief Executive Officer of the Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Association, Mr Sam Stewart, to the Conference Committee. It is exciting to have a fresh new face, new focus and new drive for the Conference that is reflective in the educational program, the delegate experience and the business practices that enable our industry leaders to perform at their finest!
New Speakers & Topics: Based on 2017 feedback, you wanted "real", "gutsy", "interactive" and "humanitarian connection". We've listened and as we start to put our Program together, a stellar cast of specialists are lined up and awaiting announcement. One emerging topic we will include is "Support and wellness" covering PTSD, Mental Health First Aid, Peer Support, personal experiences and professional self care.
